The Ganeshotsav in Pune is also popular for the traditional bands (troupes) of "Dhol-Tasha" , also called pathak (पथक ). The rhythmic plays of Dhol , Tasha , zhanj along with the dancing of the Dhwaj ( ध्वज , Flag ) is the hallmark of the festival and Pune.
